Alrighty, my first blog. Well, that isn't completely true. I have attempted to create two blogs in the past. In fact, they probably still exist somewhere out there on the world wide web, but due to my poor memory I am unable to find them again.
Yesterday, San Francisco artist Stephanie Syjuco came to speak to my Filipino American Arts class. Much of her work deals with the idea of 'covering', often in a very literal sense. She brings a sense of humor and sophistication to her work that is extremely interesting. Check out her website!
